NORTH OXFORD – Robert J. Duval, 78, of Maple Street, died Saturday, March 31, 2007, in his home. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Georgette M. (Paul) Duval of North Oxford; five children, Robert P. Duval and his wife Sharon of Shrewsbury, Roberta D. Gervais and her husband Marc of Oxford, Donna A. Pisano and her husband Gregory of Shrewsbury, Carol A. McClure and her husband Steven of Waldoboro, ME, and Mary Ann J. Bustamante and her husband Alejandro of North Port, FL; two sisters, Lucille Plaza of Homosassa, FL, and Justine Manzi of Thompson, CT; thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. He was born in Webster, the son of the late Eli and Claire (Brisbois) Duval, and lived most of his life in Webster and Florida before moving to North Oxford last year. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Duval was a union carpenter for the Carpenter's Union Local 107 in Worcester for 40 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. Ann's Church in North Oxford. Mr. Duval loved reading, traveling, playing cards, croquet, and was happiest when he was working with wood. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2007, at St. Ann's Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Family and friends are invited to gather from 9:30 to 9:50 a.m. at St. Ann's Church prior to the Mass. A military burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Webster, with the Oxford Memorial Honor Guard, participating. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Memorial Program, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301, or to St. Ann's Church, P.O. Box 488, North Oxford, MA 01537. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
