Robert Lalone, Sr.

OXFORD – Robert C. Lalone, Sr., 90, of Rawson Avenue, died peacefully on Saturday, July 28, 2018, in his home with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy M. (Manning) Lalone who died in 2002. He is survived by three children, Robert C. Lalone, Jr. of Maine, Brian J. Lalone of Oxford, and Ann Marie Urbanovitch of Auburn; two brothers, Walter Lalone of Worcester and Donald Lalone of Kennebunkport, ME; two sisters, Janet Sefakis of Worcester and Lorraine of Florida; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two sisters, Theresa O’Neil and Deanna Provost; and a brother, Theodore Lalone. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Alfred T. and Albanie B. (Marchand) Lalone.

Mr. Lalone was a courier driver for Reliant Medical Group in Worcester for over five years. Previously, he worked as a quality control supervisor for Valtec Fiber Optic in West Boylston for 15 years, and was a plant manager for Stephan Corporation in Fresno, CA. He was a member and lector at St. Roch’s Church, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4241, both in Oxford. Mr. Lalone was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at St. Roch’s Cemetery, Federal Hill Road, Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
