DUDLEY – Robert “Bob the Builder” Tuttle, 56, left us after a courageous battle, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, and a life lived fully.
Bob was the kind of man you could always count on—whether you needed a hand, a laugh, or a beer. Known for his quick witted, sarcastic sense of humor and his collection of questionably appropriate t-shirts. Bob had a way of making any gathering and party.
A skilled carpenter by trade, Bob built more than just things with his hands—he built friendships, trust, and a reputation as someone who would drop everything to help anyone, friend or stranger alike. Recently, he took on autobody work, proudly refinishing his 57 Jeep Willys, proving it’s never too late to learn something new.
Bob found joy in life’s simple pleasures: cheering on the NE Patriots, playing a round of golf, chilling with his favorite dog Brutus, hosting 4th of July parties, and finding a random barstool to call his own for a while. He loved heading to Maine to hit the trails, and spend time with family and good friends.
Above all else, Bob loved his family. His wife of 22 years, Lisa, was not only his partner but his best friend. He was a proud father to Bob and Dillon, and an even prouder grandfather to Aubriella and Jayce, who were truly his favorite people in the world. His boys and grandchildren were his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Bob also leaves behind his loving mother Jean, brother Louis Duefield and wife Robin of Pennsylvania, Richard Lyon of Florida, and Edmund Tuttle and wife Donna of North Carolina, Brother Jarrett and brother Eric Tuttle of Pennsylvania along with many nieces and nephews who meant so much to him.
Bob faced his final years the same way he lived his life—with strength, grit, and a refusal to let anything take away his spirit. He was a fighter until the very end.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date.
