SOUTHBRIDGE – Roland “Skip” P. Gallant, 77, of Charlton Street, died Friday, March 3, 2017, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Carolyn B. (West) Gallant of Southbridge; three children, Darlene A. Fream of East Brookfield, Lynn M. Shaw of Southbridge, and Glenn P. Gallant and his wife Anita of Leicester; two step daughters, Christine B. Lamontagne of Worcester and Sheri A. Moores and her husband John of Worcester; a sister, Rita Gravel of Brimfield; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a stepson, Jeffrey M. Lamontagne who died in 2009; and five brothers and sisters. He was born in Worcester, son of the late William J. and Agnes M. (Montville) Gallant Sr., and lived most of his life in Southbridge.
Memorial calling hours are Wednesday, March 8, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the conclusion of the calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford.
