OXFORD – Ronald A. Bachand, 68, of West Street, died Tuesday, March 17, 2020, in his home surrounded by his family and his loyal companion Gunner.  He is survived by his wife, Joanne S. (Kozicz) Bachand of Oxford; two children, Jason R.  Bachand of Oxford and Danielle R. Feldman and her husband Jeremy of Southbridge; his brother, Paul Bachand and his wife Marcia of Dudley; his sisters- and brother-in-law; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.  He was born in Webster, son of the late Frank and Irene E. (Przystas) Bachand, and lived in Dudley before moving to Oxford in 1978.  He graduated from Cole Trade High School in Southbridge, and served in the U.S. Army.

Ron was a construction foreman at P. Gioioso & Sons Construction Company in Boston for 35 years, retiring in 2014.  Ron shared a love of cars with his son Jason and spent many weekends working on his car and attending car shows. He was a member of the Porsche Club of America and loved riding his Harley. Ron will be remembered as the most loving, supportive, and protective Papa to his children and the best brother ever.

A funeral Mass will be held at a later date at St. Ann’s Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford.  Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
