Rosemary Riel

CHARLTON - Rosemary E. (Brown) Riel, 64, of Old Stafford Street, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, surrounded by her family at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a long illness. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, George L. Riel of Charlton; three children, George Riel Jr. of Marathon, FL, Mark Riel and his wife Brenda of Charlton, and James Riel and his wife Sheila of Apopka, FL; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Marie Riel; a granddaughter, Mary E. Riel; a sister, Marilyn Morrill; and two brothers, Robert Brown and William Brown. She was born in Exeter, NH, the daughter of the late Robert G. and Lillian (Edlow) Brown. Mrs. Riel was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who also shared her love with many foster children over the years. Calling hours are Thursday, May 20, 2010, from 5-7 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A prayer service will be at 7:00 p.m. at the conclusion of calling hours. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 21, 2010, at Highland Cemetery in Ipswich.
