WEBSTER – Sandra M. (Sgariglia) Moody, 62, of Webster, died peacefully on Thursday, June 16, 2022, in her home. She is survived by four children, Angela M. Bernard of North Grosvenordale, Dennis A. Bernard, Jr., of North Grosvenordale, Cole R. Bernard of North Grosvenordale, and Emily L. Moody of Webster; her father, Anthony E. Sgariglia Jr. of Oxford; two brothers, Anthony Sgariglia of Oxford and Michael Sgariglia and his companion Cindy Cormier of Auburn; her twin sister, Susan Saad of Oxford; her granddaughter, Mackenzie C. Bernard of North Grosvenordale; her sister-in-law, Tammy Sgariglia of Webster; her former husband, Dennis A. Bernard Sr., of North Grosvenordale; her second former husband, Lee C. Moody of Sturbridge; a close friend, Deborah Boucher of Worcester; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Sgariglia who died in 2022. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Judith B. (Holmes) Sgariglia, and lived in Webster for seven years. She graduated from Oxford High School in Oxford.
Ms. Moody was an teacher’s assistant at the Chaffee and Clara Barton Schools in Oxford for 12 years. In addition, she worked at N&J Donuts with her twin sister for many years. She cared for her home and family when her children were young. Sandy loved crocheting, crafts, baking and refinishing furniture. She enjoyed researching her ancestry and always watched Facebook Marketplace for items that her friends and family might need. She enjoyed flower gardening and loved her cat, Harold. She will be best remembered for her kindness, her thoughtful caring ways, the selflessness she showed when helping others, and her loving heart.
Services will be held privately for her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wings Program, P.O. Box 29309, Chicago, IL 60629.
Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
