OXFORD – Sharon A. (Roy) Brunnett, 71, of Wheelock Street, died Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the home of her daughter. She is survived by two children, Richard G. Brunnett and Tanya L. Holmes, both of Oxford; her brother, Robert Roy of Rochester, NH; her sister, Edna McEwen of Dunedin, FL; nine grandchildren, Kenneth Holmes and his fiancée Sarah Kittredge of Oxford, Michael Holmes of Thompson, CT, Jordan Holmes of Putnam, CT, Collin Mondino of Putnam, CT, Matthew Brunnett of Oxford, Timothy Brunnett of Oxford, Giovanni Brunnett of Southbridge, Natra Brunnett of Oregon, and Julieann Brunnett of Oregon; and three great-grandchildren, Aubriella Holmes, Kenneth Holmes and Lydianna Brunnett. She was predeceased by her son, Corey G. Brunnett; her sister, Anna Langlois; and her former husband, Bruce R. Brunnett. She was born in Webster, daughter of the late George and Lillian (Bucan) Roy, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford.
Ms. Brunnett worked in the cafeteria for Oxford Public Schools when her children were young, and spent most of her life caring for her home and family. She loved owls, country music, spending time at Indian Ranch in Webster, and was a breast cancer survivor.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow in Munyan Cemetery in Putnam, CT. Calling hours are Monday, January 9, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
