NORTH GROSVENORDALE, CT – Sharon Lee (Perry) LaPierre, 72, passed away peacefully at home on October 7th, 2025, after a short but strong battle with cancer.
Sharon was the daughter of the late Arthur H. Perry and Beatrice (Tozia) Powers of Oxford, MA. She was the youngest of four siblings; beloved sister to Arthur H. Perry Jr., Deborah (Perry) Mancini, and the late Stephen Perry. Sharon was the wife of 53 years to Bernard R. LaPierre of North Grosvenordale, CT; and the mother to Bernard “B.J.” LaPierre Jr. and Jaime Lee (LaPierre) Papierski, both of North Grosvenordale. Sharon was predeceased by her daughter, Jaime, in 2022.
After attending school in Oxford and obtaining her GED, Sharon devoted her life to taking care of other people. Sharon spent most of her life as a CNA, working for the CT VNA and then independently as a home health aide. For the last several years, she worked for Christopher Heights in Webster, MA, as a resident companion.
Sharon’s life revolved around her family, especially her seven grandchildren, Myles, Chad, Noah, Diezel, Demo, Dozer, and Deja. Sharon’s sole purpose in life was to be the best Nana in the world. She was blessed with the most loving nieces and nephews anyone could ask for, and too many to count! Sharon also leaves behind a daughter-in-law, Meagan LaPierre; and a granddaughter-in-law, Kira Papierski, whom she completely adored.
Sharon had only a couple of hobbies, one of which was spending time at the casino with her brother and sister. She also loved to listen to the bible on audio, and was a member of High Pointe Church in Thompson, CT. Sharon was a born-again Christian who lived her life through faith to the very end. She publicly professed her faith by being baptized in 2025. She may be gone, but her legacy of love and hope remains forever.
Calling hours are Monday, October 13, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oxford, MA. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, High Pointe Church, 1208 Thompson Road, Thompson, CT.
