OXFORD – Sheila Inez (Belvery) VanPatten, 75, of Wheelock Street, died Friday, April 11, 2025, in her home. She is survived by three children, Tammy Perzichino and her husband Michael of Dudley, Asa McCrory and her husband Michael of Whitinsville, and Kenny VanPatten and his significant other Jenn Griggs of Tennessee; ten siblings, Gary Belvery Sr. of Oxford, Marsha Prunier of Cherry Valley, Bryan Belvery of Dudley, Cheryl Hawkes of Webster, Kevin Belvery of Uxbridge, Ava Materas of Oxford, Kim Grabowski of Northbridge, Mala Abdella of Oxford, Joyce Belvery of Oxford, and Joseph Belvery Jr. of Southbride; two grandsons, Tristan VanPatten and Cameron Perzichino; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Dwayne S. VanPatten; two brothers, Rory Belvery and Bruce Belvery; and her best friend, Janice.
She was born in Webster, daughter of the late Joseph L. and Theo (Bacon) Belvery, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1969.
Ms. VanPatten was a sales associate at Sears in Auburn, and was the assistant manager of the Budgetel Inn in Auburn. She could fix anything and enjoyed working on her yard, house, and cars. When she was young, she was a member of the Campfire Girls. Ms. VanPatten enjoyed motorcycle rides, and loved camping with her longtime partner, Ed.
Most of her life she was a homemaker who loved to care for her home and family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandsons.
Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-1942.
Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
