OXFORD – Stephen James Sisko, 59, of Founders Court, died Thursday, July 8, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester due to complications from cancer. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Karen M. (Lanoue) Sisko; twin children, Sandra M. Sisko of Brighton and Stephen Joseph Sisko of Oxford; two brothers, Arthur Sisko and his wife Katie Donovan of East Dennis, and Robert Sisko and his wife Jeanne of Brooklyn, CT; his twin sister, Mary Sisko of Oxford; his lifelong friend, Ronald “Ronnie” Duszak; nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, aunts, and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Lawrence Sisko and William Sisko. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Lawrence and Catherine (Foley) Sisko, and lived in Auburn for 30 years before moving to Oxford in 2019. He graduated from Doherty Memorial High School in Worcester in 1979. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving with the Seabees from 1980-1983.
Mr. Sisko was a project superintendent at Interstate Electrical Services Inc. in North Billerica for over 35 years. He was instrumental in Boy Scout Troop 121 in Auburn with troop activities, and dedicated much of his time working with his son from Tiger Cub to Eagle Scout. He also participated in Girl Scout camping and activities with his daughter in Auburn. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and being an excellent provider by fixing anything around the house. He adored his family and was a dedicated husband and father to his wife and children.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Faith Church, 22 Faith Ave., Auburn. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Auburn. Calling hours are Tuesday, July 13, 2021, from 5-8 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.
