LOWELL – Steven S. Greenberg, 81, died peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Webster Manor Nursing Home in Webster.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sharon (Smith) Greenberg; his daughter, Shelah Jordan and her husband Charles of Dudley; his granddaughter, Jenna Jordan of Dudley; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Greenberg.

He was born in Lowell, son of the late Irving and Lena (Kaplan) Greenberg. He was raised in Lowell and lived in Bolton and Oregon, before moving to Fiskdale in 2014. He graduated from Lowell High School in 1961, and received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from MIT in 1966. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Mr. Greenberg was an electrical engineer at Synopsis in Oregon for several years, retiring in 2014. Previously he worked at IBM, Digital Equipment Corporation, and Texas Instruments in Dallas, TX, where he met his wife. He was a member of the MIT Alumni, and the Friends of Joshua Hyde Public Library in Sturbridge. He enjoyed political blogs and model railroading.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/The Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.

Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
