Terry Moore

CHARLTON - Terry Moore, 75, of Charlton, died at home on July 2, 2022, of metastatic melanoma. He is survived by his wife Sharon, son Joshua and partner Kayla, daughter Amy and son-in-law Matt, dog Scully, and his extended family in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Terry loved his family dearly. He is also survived by many wonderful friends and neighbors, for whom he felt great affection.

A proud Air Force and Vietnam veteran, Terry retired from Verizon in 2003. During retirement he worked at various part-time jobs and especially enjoyed volunteering. At various times he was an ESL tutor with Literacy Volunteers, long-time apheresis donor at UMass, volunteer driver for the American Cancer Society, and volunteer dog walker and kennel cleaner at Second Chance Animal Shelter in East Brookfield. Terry was the ultimate handyman, who could build or repair anything and who loved helping out family and friends.

The family would like to thank the nurses, PCAs, doctors, and staff at St. Vincent Hospital and St. Vincent Cancer and Wellness Center for their excellent care and compassion. Your kindness made a difficult time easier. We also thank the nurses and staff at Beacon Hospice for their compassionate care during Terry’s final days. And finally, our thanks to the Oxford Walgreens pharmacy for their swift and unfailing attention to our needs.

At Terry’s request, there will be no services. Instead his wish was that people be kind to each other, take care of each other, and tell those they love that they are loved. He truly believed that nothing in life matters except kindness and love
