OXFORD – Thelma “Timmy” R. (Bacon) Cazeault, 94, of Winter Street, died Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Leo P. Cazeault who died in 2008. She is survived by five children, Leo P. Cazeault Jr. and his wife June of North Grosvenordale, CT, Sharon M. Ito and her husband Warren of Woodstock, CT, Bonnie J. Bray of Oxford, Heidi M. Mellen and her husband Howard of North Grosvenordale, and Wayne A. Cazeault and his fiancée Shelley Hill of Webster; a brother, John H. Bacon and his wife Beverly of Kennebunk, ME; six wonderful grandchildren, Brandon, Brianne, Kyle, Kory, Courtney, and Chelsea; four wonderful great-grandchildren, Austin, Ali, Leona, and Nora; a daughter of her heart, Marsha “Sunshine” Prunier of Cherry Valley; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by six brothers, Frederick “Leroy” Bacon, Roger “Cye” Bacon, Glenn Bacon, Robert Bacon, Charles Bacon, and Russell Bacon; and two sisters, Theo Belvery and Agnes Dangredo.
She was born in Webster, daughter of the late George A. and Edith M. (Scott) Bacon, and lived in Webster before moving to Oxford in 1940. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1949.
Mrs. Cazeault was a cook at Bay Path R.V.T. High School in Charlton for 16 years prior to retirement. She spent many years caring for her home and raising her children. She was known for her chocolate chip cookies and spaghetti and meatballs. She loved to entertain, hosting parties, Memorial Day cookouts and family reunions for many years.
Timmy had a warm heart that everyone gravitated to. Her home was a gathering place for family and friends, and was open to everybody. She was the center of her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 12 noon – 3:00 p.m at J. Anthony’s Restaurant, 206 Southbridge Rd. (Routes 12 & 20), Oxford. Family and friends will share stories and memories at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held privately at North Cemetery in Oxford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
