DUDLEY – Thomas F. “Tim” Shea, Jr., 73, of James Street, died peacefully on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at the Meadows of Leicester, with his wife and daughter by his side. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elaine “Janet” (Zukowski) Shea of Dudley; four children, Mark A. Frappier and his wife Jenn of Hubbardston, Christopher Shea of Woonsocket, RI, Roger “R.J.” Frappier and his wife Debby of Dudley, and Ericka S. Madden and her husband Lloyd of San Diego, CA; a brother John “Jack” Shea of Rutland; a sister, Susan “Sue” Cady and her husband Alan of Pelham, NH; six grandchildren, Matt, Megan, Chloe, Jake, Aydynn, and Ryann; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Thomas F. and Leah M. “Patsy” (Gaucher) Shea Sr., and lived in Spencer and Oxford before moving to Dudley 10 years ago. He graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer.
Mr. Shea worked at St. Gobain in Worcester as an induction fireman for 18 years, retiring in 2012. Previously, he worked as a butcher for 23 years. He played darts in the Southern Worcester County Dart League. Tim enjoyed camping, NASCAR racing, playing his guitar, fishing, cooking, riding around camp on his golf cart, and spending time with friends. He was a Red Sox and Patriots fan, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m., at J. Anthony’s Restaurant, 206 Southbridge Road, North Oxford.
