WEBSTER/HYANNIS – Walter F. Cain, 64, of Upper Gore Road, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, in his home surrounded by his loved ones.  He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Debora M. (Donovan) Cain of Webster; three children, Ryan P. Cain and his wife Annie of Keene, NH, John T. Cain of Southboro, and Shannon E. Cain and her husband Eduardo Lopez Fernandez of Washington, DC; two grandsons, John T. Cain and Patrick W.O. Cain; his brother, John Cain and his wife Jing of Homosassa, FL; and two sisters, Helen Colella of Raleigh, NC, and Sharon Faucher and her husband Brian of Paxton.  He was born in Worcester, son of the late Walter F. and Helen (Feeney) Cain, and lived in Worcester before moving to Webster 38 years ago.  He graduated from Holy Name High School in Worcester.  He attended Worcester State College and received his master’s degree from Bentley College, where received his certification as a C.P.A., C.M.A., and I.M.A.

Mr. Cain was a certified public accountant at M. Hill Company in Milford for 31 years, retiring in 2020.  He was proud to call his boss Larry Hill his best friend during his many years with the company.  He considered Cape Cod his “happy place” and enjoyed time at the beach with his family.  Most of all, he cherished time with his children and grandchildren, especially following basketball and his son’s basketball coaching career.  He was proud of his children and grandchildren, lived for them throughout the challenges of his illness with an incredibly positive outlook on life.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021, at St. Louis Church, 15 Lake Street, Webster.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.  Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
