Walter Major

WEBSTER - Walter A. Major, 66, of Maple Street, passed away peacefully in his home on March 1, 2012. He worked at International Paper in Putnam, CT, for over 10 years. He enjoyed working on his car, tinkering with electronics, and fixing things. He also enjoyed fishing at Cape Cod. He enlisted in the Army in February of 1967 and completed basic training in April of that year at Fort Campbell in Kentucky. He served in Vietnam. Walter will be missed by those who knew him. A funeral service and burial will be held privately. There are no calling hours. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is assisting with arrangements
