Walter Micolites

March 28, 1940 — June 24, 2018

WEBSTER – Walter J. Micolites, 78, of First Street, died suddenly on Sunday, June 24, 2018, in his home. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Beverly A. (Fournier) Micolites who died in 2016. He is survived by four children, William M. Hubert and his companion Martha Ohrn of Webster, Robert A. Hubert of Kingman, AZ, Lori M. DeCosta and her husband Randal of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Walter J. Micolites Jr. of Lubbock, TX; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his beloved cat, Bubba. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Walter G. and Lillian (LeTourneau) Micolites, and lived in Oxford and Sweetwater, TX, before moving to Webster ten years ago. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving with the 101st Airborne Division.

Mr. Micolites was a drafting engineer at Luxtec Corporation in West Boylston for 10 years, retiring in 2005. Previously, he worked at Tupco Corporation in Auburn. Mr. Micolites was a crossing guard for Park Avenue Elementary School in Webster for several years. He was a member of the Auburn Elks, was a Patriots and Red Sox fan, and enjoyed riding his Harley.

Memorial calling hours are Saturday, June 30, 2018, from 10 a.m. – 12 noon at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A prayer service will be held on Saturday at 12 noon at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will be private at a later date.
