Johnson and her husband Rex of Ellenton, FL; his niece, Terri Fallone Benoit of Southbridge; his nephew, Todd Fallone and his wife Jenny of Illinois; his grandnephew, Lance Malvey and his fiancée Melanie Lamb of Southbridge; and two grandnieces, Julie Fallone of Missouri, and Trinity Fallone of Illinois.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late Frederick and Myrtle E. (Wolfe) Sperring, was raised in Oxford and lived in Webster for the past 12 years. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1969.
Mr. Sperring worked for Nitco in Shrewsbury for over 15 years, retiring earlier this year. Previously, he was a tractor-trailer driver for several area companies throughout his life. He was also a member of Project New Hope.
Wayne loved riding motorcycles and rode for many charities and fundraising causes. He enjoyed boating, concerts, camping with his oldest and dearest friends, traveling, and trying food in different places. He could often be found spending time at Halligan’s.
Wayne could fix anything, and loved anything with a motor. He was always available to help anyone in need. He spent time repairing a retired Oxford fire engine that he drove in town parades. He was loved by all who knew him, and will be greatly missed by Penny.
