OXFORD – Wilfred “Duffy” Lucier, 69, of Orchard Hill Drive, died Saturday, September 5, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, after a long illness. He was known by everyone as Duffy, and he always hated the name Wilfred.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, best friend and soulmate, Peggy L. (Ovitt) Lucier of Oxford; his four children whom he loved very much, Amy King-Brozowski and her spouse of Maine, Nicole Remillard of Oxford, Nicholas Lucier of Oxford, and Adam Lucier and his fiancée Cynthia Matthews of Oxford; a brother, Lawrence Lucier; a sister, Lisa Hickson and her husband Sam; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

He was born in Concord, NH, son of the late Eugene and Barbara (Harris) Harris-Lucier, and lived in Worcester prior to moving to Oxford.

Mr. Lucier worked for Mitch Dante Lead Busters for over 20 years. He loved to draw and watch old Western movies – the older the better. He loved raising pigeons. He was always full of laughs and was always there when you needed him. He loved his cat and looked forward to reuniting with him. He was a special person who touched everyone he met and will never be forgotten.
