William W. Auger, Sr.

OXFORD – William W. Auger, Sr., 74, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cheryl A. (Coakley) Auger of Oxford; three children, Kellie A. Rannikko and her husband James of Oxford, William W. Auger Jr. and his wife Kristin of Worcester, and Brie-Anne M. Dwyer and her husband Michael of Oxford; two sisters, Judith Poltorak of New Hampshire and Donna Peabody of Barre; two brothers, his twin Robert Auger of New Hampshire and David Auger and his wife Christine of Spencer; eight grandchildren, Michael Cicero, Emma Rannikko, Ryan Auger, Brayden Auger, Julian Auger, Connor Dwyer, Rylie Dwyer, and Murphy Dwyer; and two great-granddaughters, Adalynn Cicero and Jamie Cicero, and many nieces and nephews.

He was born in Worcester, son of the late Ernest and Loretta (O’Brien) Auger, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1977. He has also been a resident of Englewood, FL, since 2019. He graduated from North High School in Worcester in 1970 and received a degree from Worcester Industrial Technical Institute in 1974.

He was a Fiber Optic Engineer for Fiber Optic Components in Sterling for over 40 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Englewood, FL.

He was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams. He also loved to golf, but above all, he cherished spending time with his family. His greatest joy came from being surrounded by those he loved, especially his children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughters.

Calling hours are Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 1-4 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at the conclusion of calling hours.
