WEBSTER – William H. Fox, 79, of Sunny Avenue, died Sunday, February 1, 2026, in his home after a long illness, surrounded by loved ones.
He was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Juanita I. (Osbourn) Fox who died in 2016. He is survived by two stepsons, Gerald S. Corkran and his fiancée Diane Smith of Webster, and Darren Corkran and his wife Linda of Oak Hill, FL; two sisters, Mary Beth Dawe (late husband Joseph B. Dawe) of Whitinsville, and Jean Dalbec (late husband Leo F. Dalbec, Jr.) of Leicester; two step-grandchildren, Jessica Corkran of Southbridge, and Christopher Corkran and his wife Jessica of Connecticut; four step great-grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews. He’s also survived by his faithful and loving companion, his chihuahua-yorkie Hercules. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant sister Elizabeth Fox; his stepfather, Clifford Rivet; two stepsons, Ronald Corkran and Donald Corkran; his nephew, Zackary Dawe; and his niece, Kimberly Dawe.
He was born in Milford, son of the late Harry J. Fox and Mary I. (Clapp) Fox Rivet and lived in Webster for the past 13 years. He attended high school in Scranton, PA, before transferring to Northbridge High School after his family moved to Massachusetts. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and was stationed in Thailand.
Mr. Fox was a machinist throughout his career. During retirement, he worked at Walmart in North Oxford for many years. He had an affinity for classic cars, and enjoyed riding motorcycles. He loved military history and enjoyed tracking aircraft from his home computer. He was an avid hunter and fisherman in his younger years, and was a fan of the New England Patriots.
Calling hours are Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 1:00-3:00 at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oxford. A service will be held on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will be private at a later date at the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon.
