William Norton

February 19, 1961 — February 24, 2015

OXFORD - William K. "Norty" Norton, 54, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Gisele (Lussier) Norton of Oxford; two daughters, Kelly Marsala and her husband Joseph Marsala Jr. of Richmond, VA, and Christina Norton of Dudley; his mother, Sheila Norton of Holden; three brothers, Steve Norton, Peter Norton, and Tommy Norton; his sister, Wendy Shaughnessy; his mother-in-law, Cecile Lussier of Auburn; three grandchildren, Aibhlinn Marsala, Maebh Marsala, and Ella Roushia; and Ella's father Matt Roushia; and many brothers- and sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nephews, and nieces. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Walter Norton Jr., and lived in Westboro and Worcester before moving to Oxford 9 years ago. Norty was an electrician at Able Engineering in Boston for many years. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 96 in Worcester and the I.U.O.E. Local 877 in Boston. He was a member of High Pointe Church in Thompson, CT, and was a member of the Men's Fellowship Group. Norty was a member, vice president, and treasurer, of the Seed of Abraham Motorcycle Club - Massachusetts Chapter. He loved his Harley Davidson and king crab legs almost as much as his wife! Norty had been sober due to the help of AA for many years, where he was a member and a sponsor. He was a loving family man who always gave of his time and his trade. He was compassionate to the end and was a witness to the love of Jesus Christ. He touched people everywhere he went and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is riding on . . . because you can't get speeding tickets in heaven. Calling hours are Saturday, February 28, 2015, from 4-6 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home at the conclusion of the calling hours. Burial will be private at a later date.
