OXFORD – William P. Wenc, 76, of Federal Hill Road, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester. He is survived by three brothers, Paul Wenc and his wife Debra of Marion, IL, Steven Wenc of Pepperell, and Michael Wenc of Michigan City, IN; his sister, Susan Phipps of Pepperell; his former wife, Cheryl L. Latuga of Auburn; nieces, nephews, many cousins, and a large circle of friends. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, James Phipps who died in 2017. He was born in Worcester, son of the late William F. and Ann M. (White) Wenc, and lived most of his life in Oxford. He graduated from Elston Senior High School in Michigan City, IN, in 1965 and attended Purdue University for 2 years prior to being drafted. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Wenc co-owned and operated M&W Foundations with his best friend and business partner Joe Moscoffian, for 35 years prior to retirement. He loved to golf and played in the golf league at Heritage Country Club in Charlton for many years. He had his first hole-in-one at Heritage Country Club last year. He was a New England sports fan, especially the Red Sox, and he had a love for gardening.
Memorial calling hours are Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 noon at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 noon at the funeral home at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in South Grafton.
