OXFORD – Yvonne Marguerite (Duquette) Mathurin, 91, of Main Street, died Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at UMass Memorial medical Center – University Campus in Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Alfred L. Mathurin of Oxford who died in 2017. She is survived by three children, Paul Mathurin and his wife Ruth, Francis Mathurin and his wife Priscilla, and Diane Mathurin, all of Oxford; four grandchildren, Michael Mathurin and his wife Jill of Orange, Christy Mathurin of Auburn, Chris Mathurin and his wife Michelle of Sturbridge, and Mindy Lawless and her husband Joe of Dudley; and six great-grandchildren. She was born in Webster, daughter of the late Isadore Louis and Diana (Lavallee) Duquette, and lived in Webster for four years before moving to Oxford 87 years ago. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1948.
Mrs. Mathurin worked at Sears in Auburn for 21 years, retiring in 1991. She loved animals, traveling, camping, gardening, and playing solitaire.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Those attending are respectfully requested to meet directly at the church. Burial will be private at North Cemetery in Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Robert Reed, Catholic TV Network, P.O. Box 9196, Watertown, MA 02471. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
