Beverly Ford

OXFORD – Beverly A. (Laganelli) Ford, 83, of Burbank Street, died Friday, April 16, 2021, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus in Worcester.  She was predeceased by her husband, Russell G. Ford Sr. who died in 1988.  She is survived by three children, James R. Ford and his wife Susan of Dudley, Shirley L. Ford and her companion Danny Quill of Webster, and Elaine Coulter and her husband Ray of Vineland, NJ; two brothers, Anthony Laganelli of Pennsylvania and Ronald Fitzback of Worcester; eight grandchildren, Jenn Ciuchta, James Ford Jr., Joshua Ford, Tim Quill, Zachary Ford, Stefani Ford, Alysia Ford, and Michael Ford Jr.; twelve great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.  She was predeceased by two sons, Russel G. Ford Jr. who died in 2011, and Michael A. Ford who died in 2017; two brothers, Angelo Laganelli and Lawrence Laganelli; and two sisters, Frances Mahoney and Michelena Ethier.  She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Antonio Laganelli and Jennie (Rossetti) Fitzback Laganelli, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford over 50 years ago.

Mrs. Ford cared for her home and family throughout her life.  She was a member of St. Ann’s Church in North Oxford, and enjoyed playing bingo.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

The family would like to thank her aide Angie Fountain, for the exceptional care given to Beverly over the last few years.  They would also like to thank the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Memorial Hospital for keeping her comfortable over the past week.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at North Cemetery in Oxford.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.  Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
