OXFORD – Diane Marie Mathurin, 61, of Main Street, died Wednesday, September 7, 2022, in her home. She is survived by two brothers, Paul Mathurin and his wife Ruth, and Francis Mathurin and his wife Priscilla, all of Oxford; nephews and nieces, Michael Mathurin and his wife Jill of Orange, Christy Mathurin of Auburn, Chris Mathurin and his wife Michelle of Sturbridge; and Mindy Lawless and her husband Joe of Dudley; and six great-nieces and nephews, Makayla, Nora, Hailey, Kyle, Wesley, and Calista. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Alfred L. and Yvonne M. (Duquette) Mathurin, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1978.
Miss Mathurin was the human resource coordinator for Tri-Valley Inc., where she worked for 17 years. Previously, she was an accounting assistant for Webster Five Cent Savings Bank in Webster for 19 years. She was a member of St. Roch’s Church in Oxford and volunteered at the People for Animals League in Spencer. She loved animals, walking, jigsaw puzzles, and going to yard sales.
The family would like to thank Overlook Hospice, especially Nina and April, for their exceptional care during Diane’s illness.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 12, 2022, at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Those attending are respectfully requested to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Roch’s Church, 334 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540, or to the People for Animals League, 6 Kingsbury Rd., Spencer, MA 01562. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
