WEBSTER – Ellen (Cazeault) Fitton, 71, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, after a long illness. She grew up in Oxford, daughter of the late Charles and Rosalie (Tozia) Cazeault. Her beloved husband and best friend Dennis R. Fitton died in 2016 after 44 years of marriage. She is survived by three sons, Dennis from Alexandria, NH, Nick and wife Andrea of Thompson, CT and Kris of Webster, MA. She also leaves behind five sisters, Linda Rochon, Sue Cazeault, Norma Furmanick, Paula Congdon and her husband Paul, all of Massachusetts, Nancy Shores and her husband Mark of Connecticut. Her only brother Charles Cazeault predeceased her in 2020. She also leaves behind three beloved grandchildren Lilia, Jordan, and Emma along with many nieces and nephews.
Ellen graduated from Oxford High School in 1969 and then went to work for American Optical in Southbridge. She was a part-time clerk at Honey Farms in Webster while raising her boys then worked in the cafeteria at Park Ave Elementary School in Webster where she retired in 2011.
In her earlier years, Ellen enjoyed crocheting, reading, baking, and going to the beach. She was a wonderful mother and loved her children dearly. She also cherished spending time with her grandchildren. One of her favorite things to do was having “Sis” days with her sisters. She had a kind heart and was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed.
A funeral will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Sunday, December 4, 2022, from 1-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
