OXFORD – Emily M. Pellerin, 21, died unexpectedly on Friday, January 7, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after suffering cardiac arrest due to Covid-19.  She is survived by her mother, Geraldine A. (Walker) Pellerin of Auburn; her maternal grandparents, Douglas and Angela Walker of Marion, SC; her uncle and aunt who were also her Godparents, Rick and Lisa Pellerin of Oxford; her uncle and aunts, Terry and Jennifer Wolfe, and Allison Gibson, all of Myrtle Beach, SC; her cousins, Jenna, Jordann, Katie, Rachael, Ashley, Caleb, and Avery; her honorary family, including Michael and Tracy Carrabba, Mina and Hannah Carrabba, and many honorary aunts, uncles, and cousins; and Dawn Maheu, who was like an aunt to her and she shared a special bond with.  She was predeceased by her father, David H. Pellerin who died in 2020; her uncle, Tim Gibson; and her paternal grandparents, Richard and Patricia Pellerin.  She was born in Worcester and lived most of her life in Oxford.  She graduated from Oxford High School in 2018 and was currently a senior at Worcester State University.

Emily is best described as a beautiful painting.  She was a wonderful artist who took A.P. Studio Art in high school and could always be found in the art room during free time.  She was president of the National Art Society and a member of the National Honor Society.  She was a great friend and listener who loved life and enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend, Andrew Gilmore.  She was so loved by many and touched many people’s lives with her infectious laugh.

Emily and her dad were two peas in a pod, and she shared so much with him including their love for the color blue.  She had a very special relationship with her cousins Jordann and Ashley, who were inseparable since birth.  She greatly missed her beloved beagle, Chloe.

Emily was the world to her mom and dad.  She enjoyed swimming, was an avid reader, and always had a smile on her face.  She drove fast, always requiring her mom and aunt Lisa to check on her.  Though her loss is tremendous for her family, they take consolation in knowing she is with her dad, Chloe, and grandparents who passed before her.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 133 Federal St., 2nd Floor, Boston, MA  02110, or to Second Chance Animal Shelter, 111 Young Rd., East Brookfield, MA 01515.  Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
