Francis "Frank" Malinowski

CHARLTON – Francis “Frank” J. Malinowski, 85, of Oxford Road, died Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at the Life Care Center of Auburn.  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joan M. (Mioduszewski) Malinowski of Charlton; three children, John F. Malinowski and his wife Marelyn Collazo of Worcester, Stephen M. Malinowski and his wife Danielle of Winthrop, ME, and Elizabeth M. Stevens and her husband Neal of West Brookfield; a brother, Richard Malinowski of Schenectady, NY; a sister-in-law, Nora Malinowski of Grafton; five grandchildren, Margaret Stevens, Owen Stevens, Jack Stevens, Caroline Stevens, and Sarah Malinowski; two step grandchildren, Jocelyn Rosa and Jonathan Morales; an uncle, Edward Bonczyk of Florida; one niece and four nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother, Albert Malinowski.  He was born in Hoosick Falls, NY, son of the late Joseph F. and Bernice (Bonczyk) Malinowski, and lived in Charlton for 45 years.  He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in Schenectady, NY, in 1954.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Malinowski was a computer operator for Mediqual in Marlboro, retiring in 2001.  Previously, he worked at Heald Machine in Worcester for 24 years, as well as Chess King for several years.  He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Charlton and was a member of the church choir.  Mr. Malinowski was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 11379 in Charlton.  He was an active member of the Polish American Veterans of Worcester and was on the initial Cable Committee in Charlton.  He enjoyed playing golf, watching Westerns, and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 3, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Church, 10 H. Putnam Road Ext., Charlton.  Those attending are respectfully requested to meet directly at the church.  Burial will follow at West Ridge Cemetery in Charlton.  Calling hours are Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, P.O. Box 338, Charlton City, MA 01508, or to the Charlton Senior Center, 37 Main St., Charlton, MA 01507.
