OXFORD – Jeanne H. (deVillers) Saad, 75, of Dudley Road, died Friday, July 29, 2022, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester, surrounded by her three children and daughter-in-law.  She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, John G. Saad, Jr., of Oxford who died in 2021.  She is survived by three children, Michael J. Saad of Oxford, Barbara J. Fields and her husband Ronald of Webster, and Thomas J. Saad and his wife Heather of Dudley; two brothers, Paul deVillers of Spencer, and Robert deVillers and his wife Karen of Westerly, RI; two sisters, Carole Kemble and her husband James of Westport, and Marjorie Streeter of Worcester; five grandchildren, Malissa I., Michael J. Jr. and his wife Leslie, Jonathan M., Gavin T., and Ronin W.; and one great-grandson, J.D. Fields.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank deVillers and David deVillers.  She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Ernest R. and Marjorie J. (Wallace) deVillers, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford.  She graduated from St. Peter’s High School in 1965.

Mrs. Saad worked at Central Mass Auto Auction for several years, retiring in 2007.  Previously, she was an administrative assistant at Toyota Motor Credit Company.  She was a member of St. Roch’s Church in Oxford.  Mrs. Saad was an active member of the Oxford community for many years, as a member of the Founder’s Day Committee, the Oxford Democratic Committee, and founder of the Oxford Women's Softball League.  She had a vigor for life and enjoyed singing and watching her grandchildren’s sporting events.  Her family meant everything to her and her greatest joy in life was catering to her family and grandchildren.  Mrs. Saad will be remembered as a very social person who was loved by all who knew her.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Jewish Healthcare Center and the UMass Emergency Department for their exceptional care, and the Spooner family for their unwavering love and support.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2022, at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford.  Those attending are respectfully requested to meet directly at the church.  Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford.  There are no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.  Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
