Lauren K. (Gjeltema) Cadarette

March 3, 1983 ~ December 13, 2020 (age 37)


OXFORD – Lauren K. (Gjeltema) Cadarette, 37, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 13, 2020.  She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Jack J. Cadarette of Oxford; her daughter, Chloe Jean Davis of Spencer; three stepsons, Joseph Cadarette of Virginia, and John Cadarette and Cameron Cadarette, both of Auburn; her mother, Carol A. Barton and her husband Peter of West Dennis; three brothers, David Gjeltema Jr. and Timothy Gjeltema, both of Whitinsville, and Thomas Tsimogiannis of Northbridge; her sister, Catherine Tsimogiannis of Whitinsville; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late David J. Gjeltema, was raised in Douglas and moved to Oxford nine years ago.  She graduated from Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School in Upton in 2001 and received her associate degree from Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester.

Lauren was a medical assistant at Worcester Urological Services in Worcester.  Previously, she was a surgical technologist at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, and worked from many years in medical services.  She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, hiking, and her dog George.  Most of all, she loved her daughter Chloe and proudly shared stories of her life with friends and family.

Calling hours are Monday, December 21, 2020, from 5-7 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.  Burial will be private at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Douglas.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 133 Federal St., 2nd Floor, Boston, MA 02110.
