Lisa Mcgarry

OXFORD – Lisa M. McGarry, 48, of Charlton Street, died unexpectedly on Friday, June 17, 2022, in her home.  She is survived by two children, Robert J. McGarry and Rachel L. Torres, both of Oxford; her mother, Joy M. (Lockwood) Grudzinskas of Oxford; her brother, Jason S. Ellis and his wife Elaine of Weymouth; her best friend, Donna Kenneally of Oxford; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.  She was predeceased by her stepfather, Albert J. Grudzinskas Jr., who died in 2018.  She was born in Worcester and was a lifelong resident of Oxford.

Lisa graduated from St. Peter-Marian High School in Worcester in 1992, and later received a certificate in hairdressing from Rob Roy Hairdressing School in Worcester.  She worked for Rob Roy and Unique Hair Design.

Lisa loved her family and friends very much.  She enjoyed having a few drinks with her cousins on the holidays, was an avid animal lover, and she loved nothing more than a nice day at the beach.  Lisa was loved deeply and will be forever missed.

Services are private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Psoriasis Foundation, 1800 Diagonal Rd., #360, Alexandria, VA 22314, or to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, 10 Anna’s Place, Dedham, MA 02026.  Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
