OXFORD – Norbert W. Cloutier, Sr., 67, of Dudley Road, died Saturday, June 4, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital, after a short illness with pancreatitis. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Norma J. (Howard) Hanks of Oxford; six children, Norbert W. Cloutier Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Belmont, NH, Kimberly D. Paquette of Franklin, NH, Michael D. Cloutier of Memphis, TN, David C. Cloutier of Northfield, NH, David W. Hanks Jr. of Oxford, and Bruce E. Hanks of Shrewsbury; three sisters, Doreen Flanders and her husband Wesley of Franklin, NH, Marie Paul and her husband Michael of Henniker, NH, and Gloria Healey and her husband Robert of Melbourne, FL; seventeen grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, many nephews and nieces; and his beloved companion, his dog Zena. He was born in Franklin, NH, son of the late Henry J. and Phyllis C. (Cheney) Cloutier, and lived most of his life in Franklin, NH, before moving to Oxford 19 years ago. He graduated from Franklin High School Franklin, NH, in 1974. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned certification as an M-16 expert and M-60 sharpshooter.
Mr. Cloutier was a truck driver throughout is life, most recently for Linde Gas. He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, enjoyed watching college football, and loved spending time relaxing in his yard.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Burial will be held privately at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Suite 250, Framingham, MA 01701, or to Veteran's Inc., 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
