OXFORD – Richard S. Hoye, 91, of Main Street, died Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northbridge. He is survived by his sister, Beverly J. Gauthier of Webster; nieces and nephews, Dr. Pamela Lewis, Cheryl Lewis-Darling, Judith Konkol-Dery, Rick Dery, and Stephen Dery; and eight grand nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, June E. Lewis who died in 2017; and a nephew, David W. Dery who died in 2018. He was born in Oxford, son of the late Walter and Evelyn (Whaley) Hoye, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1947.
Mr. Hoye worked at Reed & Prince in Worcester for many years. He loved sports, especially baseball, football, and wrestling, and was a fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. He enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with his family.
A private graveside service will be held at North Cemetery in Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 640 Main St., Worcester, MA 01608. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
