SUTTON – Robert A. Faron, 80, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.  He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol A. (Barre) Faron of Sutton; three children, Mark Faron and his wife Lisa of Hopedale, Matthew Faron and his wife Katelynn of Holden, and Kathleen Faron of Sutton; three granddaughters, Avery, Emily, and Dylan, and grandson, Nolan. He was born in Worcester, son of the late John M. and Rose D. (Malboeuf) Faron, and lived most of his life in Sutton.  He graduated from St. Peter’s High School and Worcester Junior College in Worcester.  He served in the Army Reserve 850th Signal Company in Worcester for 3 years, and in the Air Force Reserve 901st Airlift Wing based at Hanscom Air Force Base for 3 years.

Bob worked for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation in the Construction Division for 52 years, retiring in 2015.  He enjoyed playing sports, spending time outdoors, and 4th of July gatherings at his cousin’s home in Grafton.  In addition, he enjoyed leisure time on his land in Sutton, planting flowers, and gardening.  His most important and greatest joy, was spending time with family, especially with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.

Calling hours are Sunday, March 20, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.  A funeral will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, from the funeral home, followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Church, 356 Boston Rd., Sutton.  Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Webster.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark’s Church Haiti Fund, 356 Boston Rd., Sutton, MA 01590.
