NORTH OXFORD – Ruediger “Rudy” K. Wiesehan, 94, of Themeli Court, died peacefully on Monday, January 4, 2021, in his home surrounded by his family.  He was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Helen C. (Fell) Wiesehan who died in 2012.  He is survived by his daughter, Susan M. Quinlan and her husband John of Sutton; two grandchildren, Brendan J. Quinlan of Phoenix, AZ, and Anne D. Quinlan of Sutton; his sister, Rosemarie Finger and her husband Dieter of Bremervorder, Germany; nephews and nieces, Audrey Roettgers, Sandi Davies, Frank Finger and his wife Caren, and Jens Finger.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Anne E. Wiesehan who died in 1976; and a sister, Ruth Roettgers who died in 2018.  He was born in Bremervorder, Germany, and lived in Brooklyn, NY, and Worcester before moving to North Oxford over 20 years ago.

Mr. Wiesehan worked at Roger Tool and Die in Worcester for many years.  Previously, he worked for Framco in Shrewsbury.  He attended Zion Lutheran Church in Oxford.  Mr. Wiesehan enjoyed puzzles, reading the newspaper, playing chess, and traveling.  He loved nature and spent time outside birdwatching and gardening.  He was an amateur investor in the stock market and enjoyed photography.  He will be remembered as a dedicated father and grandfather who loved spending time with his grandchildren and travelling with them to Rangeley, Maine, for vacation.  He was a wise, humble, and generous man who always put the needs of others before his own.

Services will be private.  Burial will be private at St. John’s Cemetery in Worcester.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Why Me, 1152 Pleasant St., Worcester, MA 01602.  Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
